Students from class 3 this week were learning about the French artist Henri Matisse in their after school Art time class. They explored his collages and montages, learning that he only started creating montages when he was elderly and too sick to paint. They looked at positves and negative shapes, and experimented with colour, shape and layering before creating their own Matisse inspired masterpieces. The results were exceptional and well beyond their years and can be seen in the corridor of the small building.
